12 and some more

My dad always taught me that when different music genres collide, it gets more interesting. For exaple: he used to be really in to folk-rock. The conventional folk was a bit boring to him, but add a little rock to the mix and you immediately get something vivid. This works mostely for every kind of music. (look at bands like urban dance squad and rage against the machine who mix rock and rap together)

On the album I'm posting today you have American-based group Themselves, an expirimental hiphop and electro group, colliding with the Germany-based group The Notwist, an indie-rock and electro group. Both allready making music that can't be defined into one genre. The outcome is an expirimental indie-hiphop sounding album unlike any other music, though matching some sound with other Anticon (the label Themselves is on) groups. An explenation on where the name comes from can be found here on wiki.
